Terms of service

Welcome to HelpMePray™. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the HelpMePray™ website and prayer-generation service (“the Service”), operated by Ministry Tech Partners (“we,” “us,” “our”). By visiting or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don’t use the Service.

What HelpMePray™ is — and isn't

HelpMePray™ is a tool that helps Christians articulate prayers using artificial intelligence. You provide a topic, scripture reference, or specific request, and the system composes a prayer grounded in scripture in the voice you select.

HelpMePray™ is not:

  • A substitute for pastoral counsel, biblical scholarship, or theological authority.
  • A crisis hotline or mental-health support service. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line), or reach a trusted pastor, counselor, or friend.
  • A licensed therapist, counselor, or medical professional.
  • A guarantee of any spiritual outcome.

The prayers you receive are composed by an AI model and may contain errors, misquoted scripture, or theological positions you do not agree with. Always weigh what you receive against scripture and trusted spiritual counsel.

Theological framework

HelpMePray™ operates within a Charismatic / Pentecostal / non-denominational evangelical Christian framework. This is a deliberate editorial position, not an attempt at universal religious neutrality. If this framework doesn’t match your tradition, the prayers may feel theologically unfamiliar. We respect that. You are free to use, adapt, or discard them.

Acceptable use

You may use HelpMePray™ for personal prayer, family prayer, ministry use within a faith community, devotional study, and other Christian spiritual purposes. You may copy, share, print, or post any prayer the Service generates in response to your input.

You may not:

  • Attempt to extract, copy, reverse-engineer, or systematically download our system prompts, classifier logic, or other proprietary content.
  • Submit requests intended to circumvent our safety classifier (prompt injection, jailbreak attempts, and the like).
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including harassment, defamation, or incitement.
  • Submit content that promotes violence, hatred toward people groups, or sexual exploitation.
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to interact with the Service beyond standard browser use.
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Service.
  • Use the Service to build or train another product that competes with HelpMePray™.

Rate limits and safety controls

To protect the Service from abuse and keep it sustainable, we apply rate limits and a safety classifier to every request. We may refuse to compose a particular prayer, redirect a request toward a more pastorally appropriate framing, or temporarily block requests from a particular network or account. We act in good faith, but we do not guarantee accuracy or consistency in every individual case.

Your content and the prayers you receive

When you submit a request, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to send your input text to our AI provider (Anthropic) for prayer composition, display the generated prayer to you, and store operational metadata, classifier decisions, and a small quality sample as described in our Privacy Policy.

You retain any rights you have in the prayer text you receive. We do not claim ownership of the prayers themselves; they are yours to use, share, and pray. (Under current US law, content generated by AI may not be copyrightable as such, so neither you nor we may have enforceable copyright in the text — but we will not assert any ownership claim against your personal or ministry use of it.)

Intellectual property

The HelpMePray™ name, logo, website design, system prompts, classifier configuration, and all related materials are owned by Ministry Tech Partners and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to the HelpMePray™ name or marks beyond the limited use necessary to use the Service.

Accounts

Accounts are free and optional. You can use the Service fully anonymously without ever creating one — you just can’t save prayers to a library. If you choose to create an account, the following apply:

  • You sign up with your email address. We send a magic link to that email; clicking the link signs you in. There is no password to manage or lose.
  • You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure. Anyone who can read your email can sign in to your HelpMePray™ account.
  • You may only create an account for yourself, and only if you are 13 or older.
  • You may not share your account, sell access to it, or use one account to act on behalf of multiple people.
  • You may delete your account at any time from your account settings page. Deletion is immediate and permanent — it removes your saved prayers and profile and cannot be undone. If you need help with deletion, Ministry Tech Partners is available (see Contact below).

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE FROM HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. THE PRAYERS GENERATED BY THE SERVICE ARE AI-COMPOSED OUTPUT AND MAY CONTAIN INACCURACIES, MISQUOTED SCRIPTURE, OR THEOLOGICAL POSITIONS THAT DO NOT REFLECT YOUR TRADITION. YOU USE THEM AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION AND ARE ENCOURAGED TO TEST THEM AGAINST SCRIPTURE AND TRUSTED SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY.

Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEITHER MINISTRY TECH PARTNERS NOR ANY OF ITS AGENTS, EMPLOYEES, OR AFFILIATES SHALL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100).

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Ministry Tech Partners and its affiliates from any third-party claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, with or without notice, particularly for violations of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time; nothing in these Terms creates an ongoing obligation to continue using it.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent material change. Significant changes will be highlighted on the homepage; continued use of the Service after the effective date of new Terms constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Georgia.
